iPad comes in a black rugged case from Amazon. Some of the clips on the case have been broken, but the plastic portion still holds in place and the rubber covering also keeps it in place. The only loose place is on the bottom left corner.

iPad has always had a screen protector on. It does have a crack in the lower left corner and in the upper right corner and slightly lower on the right side. These cracks are on the glass screen protector, not the iPad itself!

Otherwise your typical wear and tear, some scratches on the back but not many as it’s almost always been in a protective case.
Holds battery appropriately, charges without issue. Home button (and Touch ID), lock button, and volume buttons work perfectly. Volume works perfectly as well.
